Connor Storrie & Lilly Krug Sci-Fi ‘April X’ Getting U.S. Theatrical Release, International Deals Set

EXCLUSIVE: Psychological sci-fi thriller April X, starring Connor Storrie (Heated Rivalry) and Lilly Krug (Plane), has secured distribution in the U.S. and a host of international markets.

The near future thriller “follows twins Bax and April. When April goes missing, Bax searches every dark corner of the post Soviet cityscape trying to find her, ultimately descending into madness.” It marks the first film released for Storrie since his global hit TV series Heated Rivalry.

Directed by Michel K. Parandi and produced by Lavinia Postolache under U.S. banner Lavi Star, international sales were brokered by Italy-based Iuvit Media Sales, which will continue deal-making at the Cannes market.

Sunrise Films and Rialto Distribution — which have both recently picked up films for the U.S. market — have jointly acquired North American rights and plans a theatrical release in more than 500 theaters in late September 2026.
