Netflix is heading back to the Dallas Cowboys’ sideline.
The streamer had ordered a second season of its unscripted series America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Season one, which premiered in June, spent four weeks in Netflix’s worldwide top 10 English-language series (and one additional week in the United States).
The second season of the show will follow the squad through its 2024-25 campaign, starting with auditions and continuing through the NFL season. (The Cowboys are currently struggling on the field, with a record of 3-6 through Nov. 10.)
America’s Sweethearts is part of an ongoing relationship Netflix has with the Cowboys. The streamer is also working on a docuseries about the team and its owner, Jerry Jones, with a focus on the Cowboys’ dominance of the early and mid-1990s, when they won three Super Bowls in four years.
