Do TV shows or movies show more streaming ads?

Streaming services clearly want subscribers to use their ad-supported plans. Every major streaming service charges at least $5 per month more for ad-free service than it does for ad-supported, and customers who accept ad tiers for the sake of price still aren’t thrilled about the trade-off. New data from Ampere Analysis shows that viewers who are stuck with ad-supported tiers may want to spend as much time as they can watching movies with those subscriptions, as films are typically interrupted far less frequently by commercials than TV shows are across major streamers.
