Dom Bird’s New Indie Lands Debut Greenlight With Extended Series Of BBC’s ‘Marvellous Miniature Workshop’ Presented By New Radio 2 Breakfast Host Sara Cox

Dom Bird’s new indie EarlyBird has landed its first commission, an extended edition of BBC series The Marvellous Miniature Workshop.

The Gladiators exec and former Amazon MGM Studios UK unscripted chief is behind a 20-episode order of the show that sees a team of expert miniaturists recreate cherished buildings and locations tied to contributors’ personal histories. 

The episodes have been extended to 45 minutes and there are now 20 of them compared to eight in the first season. Sara Cox, who just replaced Scott Mills as presenter of the Radio 2 Breakfast Show, the BBC’s most-listened-to radio program, returns to host The Marvellous Miniature Workshop.
