‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves’ on Netflix: The Perfect DND Movie for Both Hardcore and Casual Fans

The world may be bleak, but there is still some joy: the 2023 DND movie, aka Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, is now streaming on Netflix. And whether or not you’ve ever played the nerdy tabletop role-playing game that is Dungeons and Dragons, this movie is an absolute delight.

Directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, aka the guys who directed Game Night, and co-written by Goldstein, Daley, and Michael Gilio, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves perfectly captures the campy spirit of DND, without alienating anyone who’s not familiar with the game. Chris Pine stars as Edgin, a lowly bard on a quest to find a better life for himself and his daughter, following the death of his wife.
