Euphoria Season 3 premiered last night on HBO and already fans of the show are seething at series creator Sam Levinson. The showrunner/writer/director’s crime this time? Introducing a storyline where Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) is eagerly trying to gain online fame by dressing up as a sexy puppy dog while preening to the Patti Page song, “(How Much Is That) Doggie in the Window?”
Many irate viewers immediate took to X (the website formerly known as Twitter) to vent their thoughts, calling Sweeney’s scenes a “humiliation ritual” and “cringest thing I saw today.”
Since its debut in 2019, Euphoria has always caught flak for its over-the-top approach to sex and nudity.
