After brief teases and a behind-the-scenes peek at Netflix’s animated adaptation of the Devil May Cry video games, we finally have our first extended look at demon hunter Dante in action. Devil May Cry, created by showrunner Adi Shankar (Castlevania, Captain Laserhawk) and animated by Studio Mir, looks like a hell of a lot of fun — which helps soften the blow of the show’s delay to 2025.
The first real trailer for Devil May Cry shows Dante having the time of his life, slashing and shooting up demons, and pulling off death-defying tricks at 30,000 feet. Studio Mir (The Legend of Korra, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf) delivers clean animation that’s suitably stylish for Dante’s world.
Devil May Cry will follow Dante on his mission to avenge his mother’s death by ridding the world of demons. The fate of both the human and demon realms is in Dante’s hands, Netflix
