UPDATED: Neflix has set May 8 for the premiere of Forever, its upcoming drama series, starring Lovie Simone and Michael Cooper Jr. The streamer also unveiled some first look photos, which you can see at the bottom of the post.
Netflix‘s Forever is a modern reimagining of Judy Blume’s influential — and controversial — 1975 novel. It tells the epic love story of two Black teens, Keisha Clark (Simone) and Justin Edwards (Cooper Jr.) exploring romance and their identities through the awkward journey of being each other’s firsts, set in Los Angeles, 2018.
Cast also includes Xosha Roquemore, Marvin Lawrence Winans III, Wood Harris, Karen Pittman, Barry Shabaka Henley, Ali Gallo, Niles Fitch, Paigion Walker and E’myri Crutchfield.
