Greg Mottola To Direct First Two Episodes Of Peacock’s ‘The Miniature Wife’ & Exec Produce

EXCLUSIVE: Superbad filmmaker Greg Mottola has been tapped to direct the first two episodes of Peacock comedy series The Miniature Wife, from Michael Ellenberg’s Media Res (The Morning Show, Pachinko). Mottola also will serve as executive producer on the series.

Starring and executive produced by Elizabeth Banks and Matthew Macfadyen, The Miniature Wife, based on the short story by Manuel Gonzalez, is a high-concept marital comedy examining the power (im)balances between spouses Lindy (Banks) and Les (Macfadyen), after a technological accident induces the ultimate relationship crisis.

Created and executive produced by Jennifer Ames and Steve Turner (Boardwalk Empire, Goliath), who also serve as showrunners, The Miniature Wife landed at Peacock with a straight-to-series order earlier this year.
