Earlier this month, Hannah Einbinder, one of the stars of HBO Max’s Hacks, was asked whether the comedy was ending with its fifth season.
“Yes. I don’t know what I’m supposed to say and not say. One time, I said the wrong thing, and then we took it back. But it was real then, and it’s real now. So yeah, it is the last season, okay?,” she told Collider.
Well, HBO Max is now officially admitting what everyone is Hollywood has known for some time.
The fifth and final season of the show, which also stars Jean Smart, will premiere on Thursday, April 9 at 9pm ET.
The ten-part season will stream weekly with two new episodes on April 30 and May 7 ahead of the series finale on May 28. Watch a trailer above.
