In honor of Earth Day on April 22, non-partisan nonprofit Environmental Working Group is teaming up with Mika Brzezinski and her Know Your Value platform for an Earth Day Dinner.

The 16th annual event, set for the 22nd at Skirball Cultural Center, serves to amplify the organization’s message of supporting health, women and communities through science and clean environmental practice. Hilary Swank will be the dinner’s special honoree, receiving the Environmental Working Group Changemakers Award in recognition for her role in helping pass California Senate Bill 646, which requires prenatal vitamin manufactures to test for and disclose levels of potentially harmful heavy metals in their products.
