A new true crime drama is telling the story of Melissa Moore, the daughter of Canadian-American serial killer Keith Jesperson.
Happy Face premieres March 20 on Paramount+ and stars Tony-winning actress Annaleigh Ashford as Melissa Reed (based on Moore) and Emmy-nominated actor Dennis Quaid as Jesperson, known as the Happy Face Killer. Based on Moore’s 2009 autobiography, Shattered Silence, and her iHeartPodcast series, the limited TV series follows Melissa as she tries to find out if an innocent man will face the death penalty for a crime committed by her father. James Wolk, Tamera Tomakili, Khiyla Aynne and Benjamin Mackey also star in the show.
