Hugh Jackman, Cecily Strong & Corey Stoll Join Audible Theater Off Broadway Productions

Audible Theater and Together, the theatrical partnership led by Sonia Friedman and Hugh Jackman, today announced two additional productions for their 2026 season at Audible’s Off Broadway Minetta Lane Theatre in New York City, with starring roles for Jackman, Corey Stoll, Cecily Strong and The Pitt‘s Sepideh Moafi.

Both Tom Noonan’s What Happened Was, starring Stoll and Strong, and Ella Hickson’s New Born, a trio of monologues performed by Jackman, Moafi and Marianna Gailus (Vanya, Hedda Gabler), will be directed by Ian Rickson and presented in repertory. Performances for What Happened Was begin April 14 (through June 14), and New Born launches May 8 (through June 8).

The productions join the previously announced return engagement of Hannah Moscovitch’s Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes with Jackman and Ella Beatty, beginning March 17.
