Streaming was supposed to be the cheaper, simpler alternative to cable. But with constant price hikes, confusing bundles and surprise “extra member” fees, it’s starting to feel like we’ve come full circle. Add up your subscriptions — Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, Sling — and you could be shelling out over $100 a month without even realizing it.

And while those new bundle deals and partnerships, like DirecTV’s Genre Packs, sound like more value, they also mean more logins, more bills and more stuff you probably won’t ever use.
