Over the past few years, I’ve tried to get into a new show on numerous occasions, only to fail time and time again. From the trauma of being burned when a show I love gets canceled, to the rinse and repeat of today’s programming, finding something that I actually care to come back to watch multiple times has been a labor of love for me.
Last year, when “Beast Games” first launched on Prime Video, it was at the same time that I was going on a work trip, which meant that I had about five hours on a plane to kill. Intrigued by the high-stakes premise, I downloaded Season 1 to my iPad with very low expectations, but figured it could be something to keep me entertained on the flight out to Vegas.
