Move over Thrash, because there’s another survive-the-shark movie coming to movie theaters this weekend: Deep Water, starring Aaron Eckhart.
Directed by Renny Harlin (known for, among other things, the recent Strangers trilogy), with a screenplay co-written by Pete Bridges, Shayne Armstrong, S.P. Krause, Damien Power, Deep Water tells the story of an international commercial flight that is forced to make an emergency landing in the ocean, in shark-infested waters. The blood and injuries induces a shark frenzy, leaving the survivors of the crash to deal with a bunch of rabid, toothy sharks.
Aaron Eckhart and Ben Kingsley co-star in the film as the plane’s captain and co-captain.
