Two of Gen-Z’s favorite romance stars, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Jacob Elordi, are teaming up for a new heart-wrenching romance, On Swift Horses, which opens in theaters this weekend. But it’s not quite the romance you might be expecting.
Directed by Daniel Minahan, with a screenplay written by Bryce Kass, On Swift Horses is based on the 2019 novel of the same name by Shannon Pufahl. This period romance takes place in the 1950s, in the aftermath of the Korean War, when a young vet named Julius (Jacob Elordi) returns home to stay with his brother, Lee (Will Poulter), and Lee’s wife Muriel (Daisy Edgar-Jones). When Julius falls in love with his coworker Henry (Diego Calva), Muriel is empowered to begin a secret romance of her own, with a neighbor, Sanda (Sasha Calle). Queer love for everyone!
