The wait for Mickey 17 is nearly over. That’s right: Oscar-winner Bong Joon-ho’s highly anticipated follow-up to Parasite finally opens in theaters this weekend. And we can’t wait to see Robert Pattinson’s latest weird little guy on the big screen.
Written and directed by Bong Joon-ho—who took home the Oscars for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay for 2019’s Parasite—Mickey 17 is a new dark sci-fi comedy that tells the story of an expendable clone named Mickey (Pattinson) who is used by his corporate employer to perform dangerous, deadly tasks on a human colony in space. This particular Mickey is on his seventeenth iteration, and he’s incorrectly presumed dead. When he finally makes it back home, he finds he’s been replaced… by Mickey 18.
