Is ‘Rumours’ Streaming on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video?

The rumor that Rumours, Cate Blanchett’s new movie, is opening in theaters this weekend is, in fact, more than a rumor: It’s a stone-cold fact.

Written and directed by the filmmaking trio Guy Maddin, Evan Johnson, and Galen Johnson, Rumours is a dark comedy about world leaders who gather for the G7 to craft a statement on an unspecified global crisis, but get lost in the woods instead. Blanchett stars as the fictional Chancellor of Germany, Alicia Vikander plays the fictional Secretary-General of the European Commission, Charles Dance plays the U.S. president, Roy Dupuis plays the Canadian prime minister, Denis Ménochet plays the French president, Nikki Amuka-Bird plays the U.K. prime minister, Rolando Ravello plays the Italian prime minister, and Takehiro Hira plays the Japanese prime minister.
