Let’s go down to the movie theater to watch Sinners, the new Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan movie opening in theaters this weekend.
Written and directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Ryan Coogler, who has collaborated with Jordan on many a film (Black Panther, Creed, Fruitvale Station), Sinners is a period piece, an action flick, and a supernatural horror movie all rolled into one. Jordan stars in dual roles as twin brothers Smoke and Stack, who return to their hometown in the Southern U.S. in the 1930s. But instead of a welcoming committee, they discover a great evil waiting for them. Also starring Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Miller, Li Jun Li, and Delroy Lindo, Sinners has received almost nothing but rave reviews from critics so far. This sounds like the kind of movie you want to see on the big screen!
