Is the A24 ‘Warfare’ Movie Streaming on Netflix or HBO Max?

One year after the release of Civil War, director Alex Garland is back with another A24 war movie, Warfare, opening in movie theaters this weekend. And this time, the war is real.

Co-directed and co-written by Garland and Ray Mendoza, Warfare is based on Mendoza’s real-life experience as a U.S. Navy Seal who fought in the Iraq War. The entire movie is a real-time rendition of one platoon on a single mission in November 2006, during the final stages of the second battle of Ramadi, a battle that led to the deaths of over 80 U.S. soldiers, and wounded hundreds more. The large ensemble cast includes D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai as Mendoza, as well as other platoon members played by Will Poulter, Cosmo Jarvis, Joseph Quinn, Kit Connor, Finn Bennett, Taylor John Smith, Michael Gandolfini, Adain Bradley, Noah Centineo, Evan Holtzman, Henry Zaga, and Charles Melton.
