If you can’t get enough of the John Wick franchise, I have good news for you: a new John Wick spin-off movie, Ballerina, opens in theaters this weekend. And even though he’s not the star, Keanu Reeves makes an appearance in the Ballerina movie as Mr. Wick himself.
Ballerina—aka From the World of John Wick: Ballerina—is a spin-off film that takes place between the events of the John Wick: Chapter 3 and John Wick: Chapter 4. Ana de Armas stars as Eve Macarro, a ballerina training to become an assassin. That’s quite the career pivot! Her character also appeared in the third movie, but was portrayed by Unity Phelan, whom de Armas replaced for the spin-off.
Also starring Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and Norman Reedus, with Anjelica Huston, Lance Reddick, Ian McShane, and Reeves all reprising their roles, Ballerina is a can’t-miss film for John Wick fans.
