Bob Odenkirk is continuing his late-career stint as an action hero with his new movie Normal, which is opening in movie theaters this weekend. Let’s go Saul!
Directed by Ben Wheatley, with a screenplay written by John Wick creator Derek Kolstad, Normal stars Odenkirk as a new sheriff in town named Ulysses. Ulysses arrives in Normal, Minnesota in the dead of winter to serve as the town’s temporary sheriff, after their old sheriff died. He quickly learns that this small town is hiding a big conspiracy, all tied up with the Japanese mafia.
Also starring Henry Winkler and Lena Headey, Normal first premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival where it was met with mostly positive reviews. The consensus was, if you like Odenkirk in the Nobody movies, you’ll like him in Normal, too.
