Charli XCX may or may not have caused a volcano to erupt, thanks to her with her explosive chemistry with Lena Góra in Erupcja, a new Polish drama opening in select U.S. theaters this weekend.
Directed by Pete Ohs—who also co-wrote the film, and gave all of his main cast in the film co-writing credits—Erupcja stars Lena Góra as a Warsaw native named Nel, whose entire world is shaken up when an old friend of hers, Bethany (Charli XCX) comes to visit with her new boyfriend Rob (Will Madden), who plans to propose. As in, literally: a volcano erupts. Apparently, this happens when Nel and Bethany get together. It seems these two women have a lot more chemistry together than Bethany does with boring, nice Rob. Rob probably didn’t even listen to BRAT.
