You know what’s worse than sharks? A serial killer who uses sharks as his weapon of choice. That’s the premise of the new Australian horror movie Dangerous Animals, which is coming to American theaters this weekend. I’d take Jaws over that any day!
Directed by Australian filmmaker Sean Byrne, with a screenplay written by Nick Lepard, Dangerous Animals stars Hassie Harrison (best known for her role as Laramie in the Paramount series Yellowstone) as a surfer girl who is abducted by a serial killer that wants to feed her to the sharks. That’s not very nice! Also starring Josh Heuston, Rob Carlton, Ella Newton, Liam Greinke, and Jai Courtney, Dangerous Animals first premiered at Cannes Film Festival last month, where it was well-received by critics. If you’re a fan of sharks, serial killers, or horror movies in general, this is the movie for you.
