The new Blumhouse movie Drop, which is coming to theaters this Friday, might just be the first AirDrop-based horror movie. You have to respect a film that keeps up with the culture!
Directed by horror filmmaker Christopher Landon (known for the Paranormal Activity and Happy Death Day franchises), with a screenplay written by Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach, Drop stars White Lotus actor Meghann Fahy as a single mother putting herself out there on a date, when she receives a series of anonymous messages AirDropped to her iPhone. The messages instruct her to follow orders and tell no one, lest her younger sister (Violett Beane) and young son (Jacob Robinson) be killed.
