Netflix subscribers know and love Mike Flanagan for his horror TV show adaptations of the classics, including The Haunting of Hill House (2018), The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020), and The Fall of the House of Usher (2023). Now, Flanagan takes his talents to the big screen with The Life of Chuck, a sci-drama based on the Stephen King novella of the same name.
Written and directed by Flanagan, and adapted from King’s 2020 novella, The Life of Chuck stars Tom Hiddleston as Charles “Chuck” Krantz. We follow Chuck’s life in reverse-chronological order, and experience with him the wonder of love, the heartbreak of loss, and so much more. Also starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, Jacob Tremblay, and Mark Hamill, The Life of Chuck premiered last year at the Toronto Film Festival to positive reviews. Now, finally, the movie is coming to theaters.
