If you love Almost Famous, then you don’t want to miss out on Mile End Kicks, a new indie romantic comedy coming to movie theaters this weekend about a music journalist who embarks on a romantic, bohemian adventure with a band on tour. Close enough, welcome back William Miller!
Mile End Kick was written and directed by Chandler Levack, and was inspired by Levack’s own experience as a young music journalist. The film stars Euphoria‘s Barbie Ferreira as Grace Pine, a young woman who moves to Montreal in 2011, with the intention of writing a book about Alanis Morrissette’s hit album, Jagged Little Pill. Instead, Grace gets distracted by an inspiring musician named Archie (played by Devon Bostick), and ends up following his indie rock band around on tour, working as the band’s publicist.
