Thirty years after the release of Forrest Gump, stars Tom Hanks and Robin Wright are reuniting with director Robert Zemeckis for a new movie that’s guaranteed to make you cry, called Here.
Directed by Zemeckis, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Forrest Gump writer Eric Roth, Here chronicles the many lives and stories that take place over many decades in a single household. It’s not actually a Forrest Gump sequel—the story is based on the 2014 graphic novel by Richard McGuire—but it certainly feels like Gump‘s spiritual successor.
Hanks and Wright star as a married couple, Richard and Margaret Young, while Paul Bettany and Kelly Reilly star as Richard’s parents, Al and Rose. The film has been met with positive reviews from critics so far, and will no doubt be a crowd-pleaser for families looking for a holiday watch.
