Spring is coming, but that doesn’t mean you can’t watch horror movies like The Woman in the Yard, a new 2025 horror movie opening in theaters this weekend.
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (House of Wax, Carry-On), with a screenplay written by Sam Stafanak, The Woman in the Yard tells the story of a married couple (Danielle Deadwyler and Russell Hornsby) and their two children (Peyton Jackson and Estella Kahina) who live a peaceful life in a remote farmhouse. Or at least, it was peaceful until a mysterious woman in a black veil shows up in the family’s backyard, to warn them that “today’s the day.” If I know anything about horror movies, I know that’s probably not good.
