For as long as we can remember (at least in the smartphone era), WhatsApp has capped pinned chats at the top of your conversation list to just three. This made for some tough choices, especially for anyone tracking work, family, and a fantasy football league, all in one feed. Many users have been clamoring for more flexibility—after all, life has a way of multiplying the number of conversations we’d rather not lose in the digital shuffle!
There are now signs from beta testing that WhatsApp is considering raising this cap. Rumor has it we could soon pin up to ten chats, which, let’s be honest, just feels right as groups and channels continue to mushroom. In practice, this could mean less endless scrolling and more actual productivity—a win-win in time saved and sanity preserved.
