
Just over a week after crew members walked off the South Carolina set of Jonathan Majors’ upcoming action movie, new details paint a picture of a production that crew say spiraled from disorganized to outright unsafe.
As previously reported, IATSE called a strike on March 26 after failing to secure a contract that would cover health and pension contributions. But according to multiple crew members, the labor dispute quickly escalated into something more urgent: safety.
The breaking point appears to have come when Majors and co-star JC Kilcoyne fell roughly six feet out of a window during a scene gone wrong. The glass — meant to be shattered later in a stunt — had reportedly been swapped in as a loose sheet of tempered glass.
