EXCLUSIVE: Fox‘s medical drama Doc is taking a page out of Grey’s Anatomy‘s playbook with a two-hour Season 2 finale featuring a cataclysmic event that leaves major characters’ lives hanging in the balance. The two back-to-back episodes, “Stuck/Happy Birthday”, also will feature Emmy-winning veteran actor Judd Hirsch who, at the age of 91, is returning to television after a three-year break.
In the two-parter, which airs April 14 (8PM – 10 PM), the series’ central character, Amy (Molly Parker) will risk her life for one of the series’ main villains, Richard (Scott Wolf), who had killed a patient, tried to cover it up and blamed it on Amy, almost ending her career. After he finally got caught, he used a legal loophole to get himself reinstated at Westside Hospital.
