Kansas City Chiefs Docuseries Scores ESPN & Disney+ Deal

Patrick Mahomes and his family didn’t get a free trip to Disneyland this year, but his team is doubling down with the Mouse House.

ESPN and Disney+ have ordered a docuseries about the Kansas City Chiefs.

The series comes from Connor Schell’s North Road-backed Words + Pictures in association with Skydance Sports, which has a deal with the NFL, NFL Films, Mahomes’ 2PM Productions and Foolish Club Studios, which is the Chiefs’ inhouse production division.

It will tell the story of the team’s history through access to its 2024 season, one that ended in defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl. This is a story that would have been even grander if the team could have won this year, which would have been a historic threepeat.
