EXCLUSIVE: Peacock will not be moving forward with new installments of the freshman series Laid, sources reveal to Deadline.
Laid, starring and executive produced by Stephanie Hsu, premiered on December 19 with all 8 episodes available to stream. While Laid boasted a talented ensemble cast, a catchy title, and a must-stream playlist, the rom-com failed to make the Nielsen streaming rankings, nor did it generate as much buzz as other projects from co-showrunners, executive producers, and writers Nahnatchka Khan and Sally Bradford McKenna. It is as yet unknown if the show will be shopped around.
