UPDATED, 3:54 p.m.: Hulu has announced that Abbott Elementary star Lisa Ann Walter‘s debut stand-up special, on which we were first to report last fall, is titled It Was an Accident and will premiere Friday, May 15.
In the hour, Walter takes on feral Gen-Xers, self-loathing, and navigating a backsliding America, via the no-filter lens of a grown-ass woman who has been paying attention. Walter wrote, performed, and directed it herself, exec producing alongside Abbott co-star Sheryl Lee Ralph, Michelle Caputo, and Shannon Hartman, with Art & Industry producing.
