‘Look Back’ Anime Movie Hits Streaming: When to Watch on Prime Video

Chainsaw Man creator Tatsuki Fujimoto has another hit on his hands with Look Back, the latest manga of his to be adapted into an anime release.

Brought to the screen by director Kiyotaka Oshiyama, the film runs just under one hour and will arrive on streaming for a worldwide audience this week after premiering in theaters earlier this year. The story follows two school-aged girls, Kyomoto and Fujino who are both creative and gifted at drawing manga. 

Jealousy creeps in on Fujino when Kyomoto’s manga starts getting more attention than hers, driving her to work harder. Eventually, the girls form a friendship through art and end up working together, but the competitive spirit in Fujino still lurks. They have somewhat of a shared path — until they don’t anymore — and one of them must look back to understand how to move on.
