Lord of the Flies is coming to Netflix on May 4.
As we revealed last month, the streamer bagged U.S. rights to the Jack Thorne-penned series from Sony Pictures Television, beating off competition from a number of other potential suitors.
The BBC and Stan limited series is an adaptation of William Golding’s 1954 novel. It tells the story of a group of young boys who find themselves stranded on a tropical island and attempt to remain civil by organizing themselves, led by Ralph (Winston Sawyers), who is supported by the group’s intellectual, Piggy (David McKenna). However, Jack (Lox Pratt) challenges his leadership and begins to draw other boys away, sending them on a course from hope to tragedy.
Also starring the four-hour show are Ike Talbut, Thomas Connor, twins Noah and Cassius Flemyng, Cornelius Brandreth, and Tom Page-Turner, alongside an ensemble of more than 30 boys who
