The Jonathan Majors movie, Magazine Dreams, is quietly releasing on digital platforms tomorrow, just a little over two weeks after the movie quietly released in theaters. Anyone who has been following the news around Majors likely knows why the studio didn’t do a big press tour for this one.
Written and directed by Elijah Bynum, Magazine Dreams was first acquired by Searchlight Pictures, after a successful premiere at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival that had awards pundits speculating for a Majors award circuit. A few months later, Majors was arrested and charged with assault, harassment, and strangulation following a domestic dispute with former girlfriend Grace Jabbari. In December 2023, Majors was convicted by a court of law, for one count of reckless assault in the 3rd degree, and a charge of harassment as a violation.
