There are exactly as many dick jokes in Mark Wahlberg and Paul Walter Hauser’s new Amazon comedy as you’d expect from an R-rated movie titled Balls Up. And that includes a scene where Wahlberg and Hauser attempt to shove condoms filled cocaine down their throats.
“Mark said he had a lot of experience,” Hauser joked, in a Zoom interview with Decider. “He really, really enjoyed the scene from what I can tell.”
Speaking over Hauser, in the same interview, Wahlberg was ready with his own bit: “Paul doesn’t have any gag reflex, he just swallowed about five of those things, and we told him, ‘Slow down, we only have so many props!’”
Balls Up was written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Zombieland, Deadpool) and directed by Peter Farrelly, best known for his team-ups with his brother Bobby on hit comedies like Dumb and Dumber and There’s Something About Mary.
