‘Marshals’ Lands Early Renewal For Season 2 At CBS

Kayce Dutton has received an early call to fight more crime after Marshals was renewed for a second season.

CBS has picked up the Yellowstone spinoff after only two episodes. It’s extremely rare for the network to renew a show after only two weeks.

The company clearly wants to remain in the Taylor Sheridan universe, despite him signing an overall deal last year with NBCUniversal that begins in 2029 on the TV side. Sheridan has a number of other series across Paramount including The Madison, which premieres on Paramount+ on March 14, as well as another Yellowstone spinoff, The Dutton Ranch, starring Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser in addition to Annette Bening and Ed Harris.

It comes after the premiere episode became the most-watched network original series premiere without a football lead in since 2017 when another spinoff of a long-running show, The Big Bang Theory spinoff
