‘Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice’ Rips Into “Weird” ‘Gilmore Girls’ Netflix Season in Hilarious Scene: “It’s Not a Good Ending”

The last thing I expected from the new Vince Vaughn movie on Hulu—Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice—was a detailed, and accurate, critique of the infamous Gilmore Girls Netflix season. And yet, that’s exactly what this movie delivers, in what is maybe the film’s funniest sequence.

Written and directed by BenDavid Grabinski and produced by Andrew Lazar, Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice stars Vaughn as Nick and James Marsden as Mike, two criminals working for a mob boss. Eiza González stars as Alice, Nick’s wife with whom Mike is having an affair. The boys are on a mission to clear Mike’s name, after he’s been framed as a rat who got the boss’s son (played by a scene-stealing Jimmy Tatro) to prison.
