For nearly two decades, I have held resentment for the makeover Disney Channel gave to Hannah Montana between Season 2 and Season 3 — and now that I know Miley Cyrus has the same opinion, I feel vindicated.
Hannah Montana, which aired between 2006 and 2010, followed Miley Stewart’s life as a regular teenage girl by day, who, with the help of her disguising blonde wig and to-die-for wardrobe, turned into a pop sensation by night.
When Miley announced her Hannahversary—a.k.a the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special that dropped on Disney+ today—my social media pages were flooded with nostalgia, from unseen photos of the star as a teenager, to polls questioning which Hannah Montana style reigned supreme.
