Mindy Kaling is opening up about how her upcoming appearance on Meghan Markle‘s forthcoming Netflix series happened.
During an interview with Time magazine published Wednesday, the mogul, who recently got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, revealed that Markle reached out to her about joining her on her Netflix show With Love, Meghan, where she’d be cooking for friends.
“I was on maternity leave with my daughter in March and April, and Meghan texted me that she was doing a show where she was going to cook for her friends. Would I want to come to Montecito and have her cook for me? I wanted to get taken care of in that moment of my life. That was a fun maternity leave field trip,” Kaling said.
