How far will you go for more Moana? If the distance of a streaming app appeals more than a theater, we now know when the sequel to the 2016 animated movie debuts on Disney Plus.
Originally planned as a TV series, Moana 2 follows its Polynesian heroine on a new adventure three years after the first film. Auli’i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson reprise their voice roles as the titular chief’s daughter and the demigod Maui, who reunite after Moana gets “an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors,” according to a synopsis from Disney.
