Are you on the prowl for new movie night options? Disney Plus is following up its Moana 2 drop with Mufasa: The Lion King.
The prequel to Disney’s 2019 Lion King remake will let out a roar on Disney Plus later this month. Mufasa: The Lion King chronicles the rise of Simba’s dad and includes songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda. In the film, Rafiki fills in Simba and Nala’s daughter, Kiara — played by Beyoncé’s daughter, Blue Ivy Carter — on Mufasa’s legend.
Mufasa: The Lion King will hit Disney Plus shortly after the sequel to Moana (you can also binge Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again with a subscription this month). The Lion King movie is directed by Barry Jenkins and premiered in theaters in December. Here’s what you need to know to stream it.
