
NBC News is significantly expanding its streaming video service NBC News Now, giving Christine Romans her own program as it grows daily live coverage to 14 hours per day.
NBC News president of editorial Rebecca Blumenstein and executive VP Janelle Rodriguez announced the changes in a note to staff Wednesday.
Romans, currently senior business correspondent for NBC News, will become chief business correspondent for the network and anchor a new two-hour program for NBC News Now from 10 a.m. to noon beginning this summer.
The network expects her business reporting background to be put to good use during the show, which will take place shortly after trading opens.
