NBC News is partnering with journalist and author Joanna Stern to expand its coverage of AI and emerging technologies.
Stern, who recently left The Wall Street Journal to start her own independent media company, will serve as chief tech analyst and contributing correspondent. Stern and her media company will create content, including vertical videos, explainer stories and investigative pieces, across the network’s platforms. NBC News also will launch a franchise series with Stern, AI in America
Rebecca Blumenstein, NBC News president, editorial, said in a memo to staffers, “This partnership reflects a new model of working with leading independent journalists and creators who bring distinctive voices, loyal audiences, and the ability to expand engagement across our platforms.”
Blumenstein noted that she worked with Stern at the Journal, hiring her to succeed Walt Mossberg.
