Netflix Sees Potential For Video Podcasts, More Creator Content on Platform

Podcasters and creators could find a new home on Netflix

On the streaming giant’s first quarter earnings call Thursday, co-CEO Ted Sarandos said the company is “constantly looking at all different types of content and content creators” to feature on the platform. The company already produces several of its own podcasts related to its shows or talent, which are currently widely available, but Sarandos said some podcasts could find their way to airing on Netflix.

“As the popularity of video podcasts grow, I suspect you’ll see some of them find their way to Netflix,” Sarandos said in response to an analyst question.
