“Zero Day” is Robert De Niro’s first starring TV role, so this Netflix show was always going to be the top show to watch this week on the streaming service. But the question remained — would it live up to the hype? Having now watched the entire six-episode limited series, I can tell you that the answer is a resounding yes.
That’s not to say the show is perfect. It’s definitely got a notable flaw or two and a few underwhelming performances among its star-studded cast. But the underlying conspiracy elements of the show are compelling and gripping. There was really only one major twist I saw coming (don’t worry, I’m not spoiling it) so it was very satisfying to watch.
